Nobody browses profiles before age and identity steps are complete. Everything after that is designed to make intentions and boundaries legible.

Onboarding sequence

  2. 02RegisterContinue with Google or create an email and password.
  3. 03Confirm emailA verified address is required to continue.
  4. 04Verify phoneAdds a second signal against duplicate and throwaway accounts.
  5. 05Legal name and date of birthCollected for identity verification, never shown publicly.
  6. 06Identity verificationHandled by a provider-hosted flow. We store a reference, not documents.
  7. 07Accept the documentsTerms, Privacy Policy, Community Rules, and the Dating Safety Notice.
  8. 08Certify no commercial sexual activityA standalone, recorded certification.
  9. 09Consent and boundaries educationShort, required, and revisitable in the Safety Center.
  10. 10Create your profileIdentity, orientation, seeking, intention, and boundary fields.
  11. 11Optional safety screeningPurchase and authorize a criminal-history screening package.
  12. 12Profile activationDiscovery unlocks once required verification is complete.

Discovery, matching, and messaging

  • Mutual likes create a match
  • Messaging opens only after a match
  • Verified-only filter, distance, age, and last-active filters
  • Intention, gender, and orientation preference filters
  • Block, report, unmatch, and mute on every profile
  • No links in first messages
  • Commercial-sex, coercion, and trafficking language detection
  • Potentially explicit images blurred by default
  • No explicit profile photographs
  • New accounts are rate-limited
  • Reported content is preserved for investigation
Flags go to people, not verdicts
Automated detection routes content to a human moderation queue. The platform does not automatically accuse any member of a crime.
