Refund Policy
Clear rules for each type of charge, with no hidden fees.
1. Verified Membership
You may cancel online at any time and keep access through the end of the paid billing period. We do not prorate partial months by default. If you were charged after a valid cancellation, or charged in error, contact support for a full refund of that charge.
2. Safety screening
Once a screening order has been submitted to the provider, vendor and government fees are non-refundable because the searches have already been performed. Our $10 platform processing fee is refundable if the order has not yet been submitted, or if we cannot deliver the purchased package. An adverse or inconclusive result is not grounds for a refund, because you paid for the search and not for a specific outcome.
3. Income verification
Provider costs are non-refundable once the verification attempt runs. Our disclosed processing fee is refunded if the verification could not be attempted for reasons within our control.
4. Hardware
SafeSignal and accessories are not for sale. When hardware becomes available, a separate return window, warranty, and product-disclaimer document will be published before any purchase is possible. Joining the waitlist costs nothing and creates no obligation.
5. Terminated accounts
If we terminate an account for violating the Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, unused subscription time is generally not refunded. If a termination is reversed on appeal, we restore the remaining paid time or refund it at your option.
6. Failed renewals and chargebacks
Failed renewals receive a grace period with retry attempts before access changes. If you dispute a charge with your bank, please contact support first; chargebacks are investigated against transaction records and may result in suspension while the dispute is open.
7. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits refund or cancellation rights you have under applicable consumer-protection or automatic-renewal law.
8. Draft status
This document is a working draft published during development. Payments are in test mode until written payment-processor approval is obtained.
